Questions pertaining to tests offered by Invivoscribe for patients diagnosed with Leukemia, Lyphoma or other lymphoproliferative disease.
Why is a FLT3 test important for my patient?
Determining the FLT3 status of AML patients is considered the standard of care based on both WHO and NCCN guidelines.  Patients with FLT3 mutations have been shown to have a poorer prognosis than those without the mutation.  The poor prognosis includes failure to reach remission, earlier relapses and poor bone marrow transplant efficacy.  Patients with a FLT3 mutation may be eligible to join a clinical trial targeting the FLT3 gene.  Please see our subsidiary, LabPMM's website for further information or download LabPMM's FLT3 document.

Why is a NPM1 test important for my patient?
Determining the NPM1 status of AML patients is considered the standard of care based on both WHO and NCCN guidelines.  Patients with the NPM1 mutation have been shown to have a better prognosis than patients without the mutation. View NPM1 data at LabPMM.com

What is the sensitivity of the FLT3 and NPM1 test?
We can detect the FLT3 and the NPM1 mutation in a sample containing 5% leukemic blasts.

How long is the testing going to take?
LabPMM.com results are usually available within 3-5 days upon receipt of the specimen.

What samples do I need to collect from my patients for this testing?
Our subsidiary, LabPMM accepts bone marrow or blood collected in EDTA, ACD, Citrate or Heparin anticoagulant tubes.

How do I send my patient's sample to your lab for testing?
Please see our LabPMM's Client Services page for more information on ordering tests, or call 858-623-8108.
